Maison de Verre, Paris…worth a visit.

One of the most amazing houses I’ve been to is Maison De Verre in Paris. Designed by Pierre Chareau in

1928, it was one of the first houses to use “industrial” materials and fixtures with a more traditional style of

home décor. We booked a few months in advance because the house is rarely opened to the public as the

owners live there for part of the year. I visited in January with Griffith College Interior Design students and

my good friend and fellow designer John McDonald.
